Today, an insightful awareness session on skin care and common skin issues was conducted by the talented dermatologist sisters Dr. Mahvish, Dr. Tooba, and Dr. Sehrish. They discussed the causes and effective solutions for various skin problems, emphasizing the importance of healthy skin care and proper treatment rather than resorting to fairness creams or the societal taboo around white complexion. Our principal, Prof. Aaliya Durrani, graciously presented the college insignia to these skilled dermatologists in recognition of their valuable contribution. The session concluded with an interactive discussion where the doctors addressed students’ personal skin care concerns and questions. This event was a remarkable opportunity to learn about maintaining skin health and rejecting harmful cosmetic myths.Dr. Mahvish Aftab Khan, a board-certified dermatologist and aesthetic physician, who currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at PIMS, brought expert knowledge to the session. She highlighted the significance of preventive and curative skin care practices to improve overall skin health. Along with her sisters, all dermatologists, the session stressed correcting skin issues with science-based treatments and avoiding fairness products that can be harmful and misleading. This professional and engaging session educated students on embracing their natural skin tones with confidence and care.
